Susan M. Jacques Is Honored With the 2023 Robert M. Shipley Award®

Susan M. Jacques, President and CEO of GIA (Gemological Institute of America), is the recipient of the American Gem Society’s (AGS) most prestigious honor, the Robert M. Shipley Award®. Ms. Jacques was presented with the award at the Society’s annual Conclave in Louisville, Kentucky. “Susan has received this most prestigious honor due to her commitment to the science of gemology, her history of jewelry industry service and leadership, and her embodiment of the high ideals of the American Gem Society,” said Ruth Batson-McCluer. Multiple Honorees Recognized at the 2023 Titleholder Luncheon

The American Gem Society (AGS) presented several prestigious awards on May 3 during the Titleholders Luncheon at Conclave in Louisville, KY. This year’s Beatrice Shipley Scholarship—created by GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and the American Gem Society (AGS) in 2019—was awarded to Natalie Wolf DiModica, CSA, of James Wolf Jewelers in Mason, Ohio.
