The American Gem Society (AGS) has canceled the 2021 Circle of Distinction Dinner in New York due to the continuing concerns around COVID-19. The event was scheduled for July 27th at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
The 2021 honorees will be recognized this summer in a special edition of Spectra, as well as at Conclave when it returns September 12–14 in Dallas, Texas at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel.
“We are going to miss seeing our friends in New York at the dinner, but the safety of our guests at the event is the top priority,” said Katherine Bodoh, RJ, CEO of the American Gem Society and AGS Laboratories. “We look forward to honoring our recipients at Conclave in a very special way and will have details on that in the upcoming months. We are so thrilled that there is light at the end of this tunnel and look forward to being with the members of the wonderful jewelry community.”
The Circle of Distinction Dinner is held annually to honor excellence in the jewelry industry. The Lifetime Achievement and AGS Triple Zero® awards presented during the dinner are among the most coveted in the industry.
An announcement about the event’s honorees will be made soon. For more information, please contact [email protected].
