The Move to Paperless Credit Applications is Coming Soon!

Merchants offering the American Gem Society credit card program through Wells Fargo Retail Services should start using the paperless credit application options starting May 14, 2024.

Once online applications are enabled, paper applications will no longer be accepted.

The transition to paperless credit applications allows Wells Fargo to react more quickly to changes in terms, such as the upcoming change to late fees mandated by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

You and your customers will also enjoy the benefits of going digital, including:

  • A variety of credit application options — via email, on the customer’s device, or on yours.
  • Streamlined back-office processes — no need to store or mail paper credit applications.
  • Increased security — the customer’s information is transmitted directly to Wells Fargo.
What you need to do.
  • Register for an optional webinar to learn more about Wells Fargo Credit Connect.
  • Starting May 14, 2024, use paperless credit applications through an At-Home Link, Remote Applications through the Online Resource Center, or the application options within Wells Fargo Credit Connect if you aren’t already.
  • Destroy all unused paper copies of the Wells Fargo Retail Services credit application by May 14, 2024.
