Dr. Peter Stavrianidis is an entrepreneur, an educator, and a community leader. He is the principal owner of Venus Jewelers, a fifth-generation family-owned and operated business that has been in Franklin Township, NJ, for 46 years.
Dr. Stavrianidis is a Graduate Gemologist® of the Gemological Institute of America, a Certified Gemologist® Appraiser with the American Gem Society, an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers, and the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers.
His academic diplomas include a bachelor’s degree (BBA) in Marketing Management, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Marketing, and a doctorate (PhD) in Sociology.
Dr. Stavrianidis occasionally serves as an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology of the State University of New York where he teaches courses pertaining to leadership, business management, and team development.
He is a frequent speaker at numerous business and academic conferences, and he has designed and delivered training seminars for personal and professional development to individuals from every profession and walk of life.
His academic research includes studies on intergenerational attitudes and behaviors of immigrants in the United States, the Civil Rights Movement, interracialism, and multiculturalism, and he is currently working on a post-doctoral project regarding the history of the Jews of Greece.
He serves on the Board of the Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce, The State Theatre of New Jersey, the Harvest of Hope, and a host of other non-governmental organizations in the United Nations for the prevention of genocides and the global promotion for human, religious, and civil rights.
Dr. Stavrianidis resides in Somerset, NJ, with his wife, Maggie, and their three sons, George, Jason, and Constantine.
