The AGS Way Scholarship is brought to you by the AGS Young Titleholders. This scholarship encourages the growth and development of qualifying professionals who will shape the future of the jewelry industry.

The AGS Way Course is the core credentialing course for the American Gem Society (AGS), covering the history, mission, vision, and values of being an AGS member. Most importantly, it enables the learner to develop the skills and knowledge to leverage the AGS story and message to their advantage.

In this course, you will explore: The rich history of AGS, what it means to be an AGS member and titleholder, the AGS brand and marketing your membership, grading and appraisal standards, standards for ethics, cut grading and preparation for the 2-Diamond Practical Exam, and how to tie it all together to make an impact with your customers.

Applicant Requirements:

• Must be a full-time employee of an AGS Retail, Supplier, or Emerging Designer Firm member
• Must have previously completed Gemological Institute of America’s (GIA) Applied Jewelry Professional^™ (AJP) Professional Development Diploma; and 5-Day Diamond Grading Lab Class or 5-Day Gem Identification Lab Class, or Graduate Gemologist^® (GG) diploma
