Robert M. Shipley Award^® Nomination

The American Gem Society is currently accepting nominations for the 2025 Robert M. Shipley Award. The criteria for this esteemed honor are listed below. If you know of a deserving AGS member, now is the time to submit their name for consideration.

The Robert M. Shipley Award is conferred for significant contribution to the science of gemology or for exemplifying the high purposes, objectives, and ideals of the American Gem Society in the member’s own community.

• Is a current or past member of the American Gem Society
• Has made significant contributions to gemology or served as an advocate for the Society within the community
• Has provided outstanding service to or on behalf of the American Gem Society
• Has demonstrated meaningful involvement in service to the broader jewelry industry
• Exemplifies commendable personal character and values

The 2025 Robert M. Shipley Award will be presented on September 9, 2025, during Converge in Carlsbad, CA. We are proud to share that this special event is sponsored by GIA in honor of our shared history.
