Over twenty-five years ago, with a deep passion for jewelry design, Shy Dayan founded Shy Creation. In the early years, Shy specialized in exquisite diamonds and gems, particularly fancy yellow diamonds. His dedication to craftsmanship established Shy Creation’s reputation for “impeccable quality, and hand-set, one-of-a-kind pieces.” As the business evolved, Shy’s younger sister, Kathy Dayan, joined him and brought a fresh, contemporary influence. “She helped me reinvent our business by pairing our unmatched craftsmanship with her cool, fashion-forward, LA style,” he recalls. Together, the siblings co-designed the now-iconic Kate Collection, which has become Shy Creation’s most popular and fastest-selling line.
