Converge Scholarship Form

Converge unites GIA’s (Gemological Institute of America) innovative gemological research and industry-leading education with American Gem Society’s (AGS) professional development and opportunities to connect, fostering community and collaboration, inspiring new ideas, and enhancing professional networks—all setting the stage for success. The Converge Scholarship covers one (1) full registration to Converge. Scholarship recipients are responsible for their own travel expenses, including airfare, accommodations, meals, and incidentals. Recipients are encouraged to take advantage of the Converge room block at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, CA.

Registration Guidance:

• If you plan to attend Converge regardless of scholarship status or are interested in excursions or registration add-ons (e.g., the Harvard Business School experience), early registration is recommended, as space is limited. If awarded a scholarship, your registration fee will be refunded. Please note that excursions and add-ons are not covered by the scholarship.
• If you prefer to attend only if you are awarded a scholarship and do not plan to purchase excursions or add-ons, you may wish to wait until you receive an update on your application before registering.

All registrations are subject to the “Refund and Cancelation Policy” outlined in the Converge Participation Agreement.

By submitting this application, applicants acknowledge that, if selected as a scholarship recipient, they agree to comply with the Converge Participation Agreement and all registration requirements. Scholarship recipients must complete their own event registration, which includes formally agreeing to these terms during the process.

Applicant Requirements:

• Must be a full-time employee of an AGS Firm member

• Application period opens February 19, 2025, and closes April 1, 2025
• Scholarships will be awarded by April 11, 2025
