Before packing, take clear photos of the item from multiple angles. Save any proof of value, such as a receipt, appraisal, or item description. Keep a record of the recipient’s address, carrier, tracking number, and shipping receipt. 2. Layer it. Wrap the jewelry securely and place it inside a small box or padded envelope. Then place that package inside a slightly larger box. Double-boxing helps protect from damage and keeps the contents
