TACORI is a family-founded jewelry house established by Haig and Gilda Tacorian in California in 1979. They came to the United States with an extraordinary belief in what was possible and built the company through talent, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship.
“My father has always approached jewelry as both an artist and an engineer,” says Paul Tacorian, Chairman of TACORI. “He is fascinated by architecture, proportion, and the challenge of making something intricate feel effortless. My mother brought an equally important understanding of people, relationships, and the emotional meaning jewelry carries. Together, they created the foundation for the company we are today.”
Paul’s parents created TACORI because they believed jewelry could be more than something beautiful. It could become part of a family’s history.
That belief has shaped every chapter of their journey. Jewelry is present at some of the most meaningful moments in a person’s life: a proposal, a wedding, a milestone, a celebration, or a gift chosen to mark a new beginning. Paul says, “We never take for granted the trust someone places in us when they choose TACORI to be part of that story.”
Paul and his sister, Nadine Tacorian Arzerounian, who is TACORI’s Head of Design, now have the privilege of leading TACORI as the second generation of their family. They bring different strengths to the business, but share a deep responsibility to protect what makes TACORI special while continuing to move it forward.
“For my sister and me, leading the company means carrying that original purpose forward while ensuring it remains relevant to a new generation,” explains Paul. “We want to preserve the human artistry of jewelry-making, from hand engraving to diamond setting and hand finishing, while continuing to explore new ideas, technologies, and expressions of design.”
Over the years, TACORI has become known for engagement rings, wedding bands, and fine jewelry with a distinctive design language, including their signature Crescent detailing. Today, every creation is still made to order and handcrafted in America by skilled artisans in their California design studios.
The company has grown and evolved, but the belief at its heart remains unchanged: jewelry should be beautifully made, deeply personal, and worthy of the moments it represents.
“At TACORI, we often say that the most meaningful details are not always the most obvious ones.” Paul continues, “Our signature Crescent design language is a perfect example. It often appears along the foundation or profile of a creation, turning an area that could easily be overlooked into something beautiful. It is a reminder that true craftsmanship is not only about what the world sees. It is also about the details created for the person wearing the piece.”
Every TACORI creation is made to order and handcrafted in America. There are real hands, real skill, and real time behind every ring, bracelet, necklace, and pair of earrings. That human touch gives each creation depth and character that mass production can’t replicate.
Paul and Nadine do not see heritage and innovation as opposing forces. Their responsibility is to bring them together, honoring what their parents built while continuing to imagine what TACORI can become.
“Innovation has also been part of our family’s story from the beginning,” reveals Paul. “My father has always been driven by questions: How can a diamond appear to float? How can metal feel lighter? How can a ring reveal something unexpected from every angle?”
Nadine and Paul continue to encourage that curiosity across the company. For them, innovation is not about creating something different simply for the sake of being different. It is about making a creation more beautiful, more wearable, more meaningful, and more distinctly TACORI.
This is an exciting time for TACORI. Paul and Nadine are leading the company into its next chapter with a refreshed brand identity and creative campaigns, which celebrate the imagination, craftsmanship, and human hands behind everything they create.
They are also continuing to expand TACORI’s bridal and fine jewelry collections. Recent introductions include Dantela Estate, which reimagines lace-inspired open metalwork with a bold, modern character, as well as new Founder’s designs inspired by their father’s creative spirit and lifelong dedication to the craft.
“We are especially excited to introduce Reverie, a new collection that draws from my father’s fascination with architecture, balance, and the idea of making strength feel weightless. The designs feature sculptural crowns, open structures, and unexpected diamond orientations that allow light to move through each creation from every angle,” describes Paul.
For Nadine and Paul, these launches represent something larger than new collections. They reflect their vision for the future of TACORI: a jewelry house that remains deeply connected to its family roots while continuing to evolve, experiment, and inspire the next generation.
When asked what they value most about being AGS members, Paul remarks, “The opportunity to interact with some of the most prestigious members of the jewelry industry, from retailers, to manufacturers and trade experts. As well as the opportunity to attend events that focus on learning, growing, and evolving our business and industry.”
