The Report Report: Platinum Light Performance Diamond Quality Document

By Jerrica Hamblin, Laboratory Program Development Analyst, AGS Laboratories

No, the headline is not a typo! Each month in “The Report Report,” I will describe a variety of AGS Laboratories reports as well as other products and services that we offer.

To kick-off the first article, I want to showcase one of our most popular grading reports, the Platinum Light Performance Diamond Quality Document. Why is it popular? One of the most prominent elements of this report is the ASET® image.

This image clearly indicates where the diamond is attracting light, in areas of brightness (red), contrast (blue), less bright (green), and leakage (gray). The ASET® image assists in communicating how the diamond was cut and its light performance. The colors speak for themselves! What a great way to showcase the precision craftsmanship of an AGS Ideal®!

In addition to its sleek, modern design, this report features:

  • The standard 4Cs—cut, color, clarity, and carat weight
  • A plot diagram that can be used to identify the diamond, and also speaks to the clarity characteristics with its informational key to symbols
  • A profile image of the diamond with the unique and detailed measurements

All of the elements come together in one place with information that makes the report easy to talk about and understand.

This elite report is generally chosen for its detailed cut information and can really highlight an AGS Ideal® diamond!
