Certified Gemologist^® Appraiser Exam Application

To apply for the Certified Gemologist^® Appraiser theory exam, please complete this form. Once submitted, we will verify that you meet the eligibility requirements listed below. If eligible, you will receive an invoice for the exam. Your enrollment will be finalized once payment is received.

Eligibility Requirements:

Be a Certified Gemologist^® in good standing and currently employed at an AGS member business
Documentation of completion of approved foundational appraisal education
Proof of a color vision test administered by an eye doctor (optometrist or ophthalmologist), or by AGS, within the past 12 months

I hereby certify that the above statements and information are complete, true, and accurate, and understand that the correctness and accuracy of the above statements and information and verification of the same are to be construed as a condition precedent to credentialing. I authorize an investigation of the above statements and information, and authorize the release of information concerning the same to the American Gem Society. I do hereby release the American Gem Society, and its employees, representatives, and agents from any and all damages or liabilities which might result from the verification or attempted verification of the above information and statements. If awarded this credential, I agree to abide by the Policies, Standards, and Bylaws of the American Gem Society.

The applicant will have two weeks to complete the exam. Exams that have expired will have to be re-enrolled and will require repurchase at the current pricing. Exams are nontransferable and nonrefundable.
