Health & Safety Protocols

The American Gem Society (AGS) is excited to see you at Conclave!

We place the health and safety of our community above all else. That’s why we’ve taken steps and implemented guidelines and policies to help support a safe and comfortable experience. We will continue to update you here as safety standards evolve. Please review the protocols below for more information about what you can expect at Conclave.

Event Safety and Responsibility

In the interest of public safety, AGS will manage our in-person event in a manner that prioritizes the health, safety, and well-being of all event participants.  Event participants include but are not limited to, member and non-member attendees, speakers, sponsors, guests, press, AGS staff members, and service providers (“participants”).

By attending Conclave:

  • You voluntarily accept all risks related to exposure to communicable diseases; agree to follow any safety and health practices required by Conclave, and agree to not hold AGS, Conclave, or their representatives liable for any illness or injury.
  • In addition, as a condition of registering for and attending Conclave, you agree to adhere to our Code of Conduct and all policies in effect for the event. We expect all participants to make informed choices about travel, participation, and on-site engagement.

On-Site Safety and Health Recommendations

  • Conclave recommends you self-test for COVID-19 before traveling to the event. If you test positive or are not feeling well, please do not travel.
  • We encourage you to practice physical distancing in situations when doing so helps you to feel most comfortable.
  • If you are more comfortable doing so, please feel free to wear a face covering at any time while attending the event.
  • Please use recognized best hygiene practices like washing your hands frequently and using hand sanitizer.

Before You Arrive

  • Please visit the Conclave website to review the latest updates on our safety and health protocols.
  • Please check the websites of your airline, airport(s), and hotel to review their protocols.
  • Review CDC’s current travel guidance.
  • And remember, if you are not feeling well, please do not travel.

Follow All Signage and Direction

Operational adjustments may occur throughout the event. Please adhere to all signage and direction from the event team.

By registering for Conclave, each attendee agrees to comply with all health and safety protocols. These protocols are included in Conclave event communications where appropriate, including the event mobile app and text messaging.
