Gunderson’s Jewelers Acquires Minneapolis-Based JB Hudson Jewelers

Gunderson’s Jewelers, an independent, family-owned Gunderson's Logo jewelry retailer, announced today that is has acquired Minneapolis-based JB Hudson Jewelers from The Pohlad Companies. In 1945, watchmaker George Gunderson founded Gunderson’s Jewelers in Sioux City, IA. Now in its third generation of family ownership, Gunderson’s operates stores in Sioux City, IA, Omaha, NE, Sioux Falls, SD, and Fargo, ND.

“What drew us to JB Hudson was its reputation for outstanding customer service. Founded in 1885, JB Hudson has been serving customers with a selection of fine jewelry and timepieces, while offering the repair of treasured pieces. We have admired JB Hudson for years and are very excited about the opportunity to bring Gunderson’s to the Twin Cities,” said Brian Gunderson, Gunderson’s CEO and owner.

Gunderson’s has built its renowned brand by offering its customers exceptional service, quality, value, and selection of fine diamonds, natural color diamonds, precious gems, spectacular jewelry, timepieces, custom design, and gifts.

Final closing of the sale is expected to occur on March 31, 2021.
