Conclave Overview
Conclave creates a buzz of conversation within the AGS community and the industry, as each year offers a new and exciting event! If you’ve never attended Conclave, we’ve summed it up for you below. Although, nothing can compare to experiencing Conclave for yourself!
The American Gem Society’s International Conclave began in 1937 and has grown into the premier educational and networking event in the jewelry industry. The Society’s members convene annually to further their gemological education and meet with their colleagues.
Considered one of the primary benefits of AGS membership, Conclave is held in a new location each year and offers several jam-packed days of education and relationship building. During the event, you’ll have access to phenomenal keynote and featured speakers who are leading national speakers, as well as breakout speakers who are industry experts, teaching a variety of topics ranging from gemological training to sales, leadership, and marketing sessions.
What does that mean for you? It adds up to 15 hours of education! But wait, there’s more. We’ve added in 20 hours’ worth of social activities, including pre-Conclave excursions, networking breaks, and events.

Arrive Monday afternoon and jump right into the fun. That evening, start off at the Mentor Mixer and then head to the Guilds Party. It’s the easiest way to meet people, reconnect with friends, and slip into the Conclave mindset—with drinks and appetizers in hand. -
Download the app. It has all the sessions, a customizable schedule, map of the hotel, and more magic. -
Don’t skip the general sessions. That’s where the meals are provided, and you can hear the latest AGS news, as well as gain insights and actionable takeaways from our keynote speakers. -
Wear comfy shoes and stay hydrated. Water will be provided in the Networking Area.
