Day's Jewelers 100th Anniversary campaign for JFCDay’s Jewelers is a 100+-year-old jewelry retailer with eight stores in Maine and New Hampshire. Day’s is known for their sense of community and their willingness to give back, not only in the areas where they have stores, but across the country.

The Corey family, owners of Day’s Jewelers, believe that giving back is their way of helping the world around them become stronger, healthier, and more positive. Jeff Corey says “We have seen that as a result of giving back, people in our community are more likely to do business with us. People feel more comfortable spending their money with companies who have a culture of going above and beyond to help others.”

Joe Corey adds, “We have seen that as a result of giving back, our customers have more faith in doing business with us. They feel proud to shop somewhere that gives back to the communities. Giving back has also become very important to our employees, many of them donating their own time to support these important causes.” Day’s believes that giving back is part of their duty. In today’s world, it’s not enough for businesses to just practice ethical and social responsibility. We need to go above and beyond to make the world a better place because we are here.

When Day’s celebrated their 100th anniversary in 2014, they had a goal of raising $100,000 for Jewelers for Children (JFC). They met and exceeded that goal in less than a year! In addition, they continued to support several other organizations. Day’s also works to support the growth of their employees and maintain their position as leading corporate citizens.

Day’s chose Jewelers for Children because they believe that the products they sell are a mystery to most consumers who mistrust jewelry stores and perceive them to be overpriced and pushy. Supporting Jewelers for Children is a great way to promote the fact that the jewelry industry has a heart. JFC provides a great way for jewelers to join forces on a mission to protect the integrity of the industry. Also, the four main recipients of JFC contributions are organizations that impact all of the communities in which we do business.

Day’s Jewelers is a member of the American Gem Society, the Responsible Jewelry Council, the Diamond Development Initiative, and Diamonds Do Good. They also founded the Day’s Diamonds for Peace program to help those in need and their local communities.
