The Graduate Sales Associate Course is Now Online
Tuesday, January 7, 2020
The American Gem Society is excited to announce the newly redesigned Graduate Sales Associate course, which is the first required course toward achieving the Certified Sales Associate (CSA) designation.
The brand new, seven-chapter interactive course—which is exclusive to AGS members—is designed to minimize training time while maximizing learning and provides the student with tools and techniques in selling products. It teaches the learner how to deliver accurate information to customers in a professional way. Earning the CSA designation provides a qualification that can develop the customer’s confidence in the sales associate and enhance the retail jewelry buying experience.
Included in the course module is an online proctored exam and the AGS 101—the second required course to complete the CSA designation. Once everything is completed, the member is qualified to hold the Certified Sales Associate designation as long as they recertify each year. The CSA logo can be shared on social media, embedded onto a web page, or downloaded for an email signature or resume via our new Digital Badges Program, adding another level of credibility to your staff and business.
“One of the challenges for jewelry store owners is providing the proper training needed for staff members. The Graduate Sales Associate course provides new associates with a useful kick-start to their gemological education,” said Sarah Person, CG, Chair of the AGS Education Committee.
