The Society's 83rd Conclave promises to be as red-carpet spectacular as Hollywood itself. With a lineup of celebrities and renowned speakers, Conclave 2017 offers a range of talent designed to make this Conclave a standout, breakaway hit.

Jay Leno, the comedian and Emmy® Award-winning former host of The Tonight Show, and current star of Jay Leno’s Garage, will kick off the event at the opening lunch on April 5.

Mr. Leno's enduring professional success is a testament not only to his charm but also to his commitment to excellence. In 2014, Mr. Leno received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the John F. Kennedy Center of the Performing Arts.

During the breakfast keynote on April 6, Scott McKain will address the members. Mr. McKain is an internationally known authority who helps organizations create distinction in every phase of business and teaches how to deliver an "Ultimate Customer Experience®." He is the author of three #1 business bestsellers; all teaching how to expand profits, increase sales and engage customers.

Celebrated boxing legend, Olympian and record-breaking world champion Sugar Ray Leonard will headline as the keynote speaker, Friday, April 7, during the general session breakfast.

Mr. Leonard took home Olympic gold and fought his way to world championships in five weight classes, a record still standing today. Voted "one of the top 25 athletes of the last 25 years" by ESPN, he is a successful entrepreneur who started his own sports promotion firm. He has also shared his success by fighting for a worthy cause. In 2009, Leonard and his wife founded the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation to raise funds for research and awareness towards a cure for Type 1 Diabetes and to help children live healthier lives through diet and exercise. Recently, the Hollywood spotlight turned to Mr. Leonard in the movie Hands of Stone. The legend is portrayed by Usher in the film, which was released in August.

The closing keynote on April 8 is the innovative composer and violinist, Kai Kight, who is known worldwide for using music as a metaphor to compose paths of imagination and fulfillment. In his emotionally powerful presentations, Mr. Kight performs mesmerizing original music and shares stories from his transformation as an artist. Mr. Kight translates these insights into takeaways that audiences can easily infuse into their lives and work environments.

The featured speaker list is equally impressive. On April 5 and April 6, the "Retail Doctor," Bob Phibbs, will present three sessions. Mr. Phibbs is the author of three books and the retail sales expert of choice for legendary brands including Hearts On Fire, LEGO, Omega, and Vera Bradley. With over 30 years’ experience, beginning in the trenches of luxury retail and extending to senior management positions, he has been a corporate officer, franchisor, and entrepreneur.

Todd Hartley is the featured speaker on April 6. Mr. Hartley is a respected expert in the frenetic internet marketing industry. He frequently speaks at marketing and technology conferences on topics such as: "Where Google is Headed," "How to Go Viral," and "Why Content Marketing is King." Hartley created WireBuzz, a company that produces videos and marketing strategies that achieve desired objectives. WireBuzz aligns itself with organizations that dominate the Internet, such as Google.

On April 7, the featured speaker is Ford Saeks. Mr. Saeks has redefined the formula for business success. His efforts have helped companies generate a total of over a billion dollars in sales worldwide.

His innovative "Market Domination Formula" modernizes the customer engagement model by applying reverse psychology: placing the influence in the buyer's hands rather than the seller. This hands-on presentation exposes underutilized methods that will attract qualified prospects, secure untapped markets, create a buying culture, and quickly add profits to your bottom line.

"We want our members to thrive in their business, and Conclave is their educational resource to do just that," said Ruth Batson, CEO of the American Gem Society and AGS Laboratories. "Our lineup of keynote and featured speakers covers a range of topics crucial to any successful jewelry industry professional: leadership, management, sales, marketing and business solutions. The sessions are designed to inform and inspire with actionable items members can put to use immediately in their store."

Last year's Emcee, Joel Zeff, will return once again as the master of ceremony. As with the 2016 Conclave, Mr. Zeff promises to entertain and interact with the audience.

The 2017 Conclave will be held at the Loews Hollywood Hotel, located in the heart of downtown Hollywood. Registration is now open!
