AGS PRO logoThe American Gem Society has taken its educational training to the next level with its launch of the AGS Professional Resources Online education portal, or AGS PRO for short. The brand new online portal features an accessible and easy-to-use format, providing an enhanced experience that sharpens the learner’s skills at the sales counter and allows them to differentiate themselves from the competition.

The AGS PRO is home to the annual recertification exam as well as future courses from the American Gem Society, including the AGS Way Course—the cornerstone of the AGS’s education. The recently revamped AGS Way Course is now presented in a web-based format that combines narration and interactive learning.

The AGS Way course, which is only available to AGS members, is a key component in becoming an AGS titleholder. It teaches the learner how to uphold the AGS standards, and better serve their customers as credentialed, knowledgeable professional jewelers. The course also helps them learn how to best utilize their membership with the AGS.

“Today, there is so much sales competition from many different channels. Customers are looking for a jeweler they can trust to help guide them in the jewelry buying process,” said Katherine Bodoh, RJ, CEO of the American Gem Society and AGS Laboratories. “Knowledge and ethics are what help the AGS member establish trust and turn their sales into lifelong clients. The AGS Way provides practical tools, like scripts, to use with their customers to enhance the sales experience, as well as share their passion, professionalism and the AGS mission.”

Look for future announcements regarding more enhanced educational offerings through the AGS PRO.
