Bryan AderholdThe allure of colored gemstones is ever-present in the history of humankind. Bryan Aderhold will give you an insider look as to how these beautiful gems are transformed from the mines to the markets. In addition, we will have a discussion on Gemstone Identification with a hands-on look at some commonly seen gem materials. Bryan will offer tips and tricks to making positive identifications and separations over the counter, with a few simple tools.

Bryan “The Candy Man” Aderhold is the founder of Nash James Enterprises LLC. At the outset of his career, he dove head first into gemological studies at GIA and Gem-A. His passion for colored gems fueled his pursuit of knowledge, which created many opportunities in the global gem trade. Experienced from mine to market, all around the world, Bryan is well equipped to help improve your colored gemstone business.

The American Gem Society (AGS) is a nonprofit trade association of fine jewelry professionals dedicated to setting, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of ethical conduct and professional behavior through education, accreditation, recertification of its membership, gemological standards, and gemological research.

AGS Laboratories, founded to support the AGS mission, is a nonprofit diamond grading laboratory with a mission of consumer protection. Adhering to the AGS Diamond Grading Standards, AGS Laboratories is dedicated to offering diamond grading reports that provide consistency and accuracy based on science.
