Renée Newman
21st Century Jade: Why it’s Prized and How it’s Tested and Valued

Renee NewmanJoin the South Florida Guild as Renée Newman presents "21st Century Jade: Why it’s Prized and How It’s Tested and Valued."

Renée Newman, BA, MA, GG, is a gemologist, teacher, and author of 13 gem and jewelry books, one of which features jade, Exotic Gems, Volume 4: How to Evaluate, Identify, & Select Jade and Abalone Pearls. She developed her interest in jade while conducting tours to China, Southeast Asia, and New Zealand in the early 1980s. To answer her passengers’ questions about the gems there, Renée enrolled in the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) gemology program. After graduating, she was hired as a gemologist at a wholesale gem firm in downtown Los Angeles.

Today, Renée devotes her time to speaking and writing about gems and jewelry. She will be available before and after her presentation to autograph books. Bring cash or a check if you would like to purchase copies. For more information about Renée and her books, go to www.ReneeNewman.com.
