Conclave has educational breakout sessions taught by renowned professionals and industry subject matter experts. Topics range from gemology to appraising, sales and marketing, business management, ethics, technology, and more! In addition, see below for more educational offerings.

EDUCATION SESSIONS

Conclave includes robust education featuring expert keynote and featured speakers! Plus, Conclave is staying true to its roots with several member-led breakout sessions. For more details, check the Schedule of Events.

COLORVISION SCREENING

Take advantage of your Conclave attendance and complete your Colorvision screening. This quick, 10-minute test is only required for individuals who have recently earned their Certified Gemologist® Appraiser (CGA) title and is strongly recommended if you do colored gemstone evaluations or appraisals. Colorvision screening will be offered during the CGA Program. Please reference the Schedule of Events.

AGS APPRAISAL STANDARDS

Stay up-to-date on the AGS Appraisal Standards with experts and CGA Instructors, Joel Hassler, ICGA, and Laura Stanley, CGA Instructor, who have trained under the leadership of Cos Altobelli, ECGA. Your appraisal document is a statement of your overall quality as a retail jeweler. It’s important to know how changes in the jewelry industry impact the way you perform appraisals in accordance with AGS Appraisal Standards. There are many options to further your appraisal knowledge and education: take the Certified Gemologist® Appraiser classes and exam or refresh your knowledge and get vital updates at the Conclave exclusive CGA Clinic.

HANDS-ON LAB CLASSES

The hands-on labs are often the most popular sessions at Conclave! You’ll get gemology updates and knowledge from world-renowned experts. The sessions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all seats are filled, the doors will be closed.

To ensure the health and safety of our community, additional protocols will be in place for those who wish to attend GIA Sponsored hands-on class. More information will be provided prior to Conclave 2022.
