Dear Valued Members,

As we look back on 2023, we are filled with pride for the progress we’ve made, propelled by the Robert and Beatrice Shipley Endowment. GIA’s support through this endowment has been pivotal in our mission to elevate the standards of professionalism and education within the AGS community and enabled us to bring content through Conclave, Confluence, our publications, and AGS PRO.

Conclave was a standout in Louisville, KY, featuring industry and national thought leaders who covered an array of crucial topics such as gemology, the gauntlet of best business practices, and government regulations. These sessions provided invaluable insights and learning opportunities, reinforcing our commitment to the continued professional development of our members.

Our online virtual learning experience, Confluence, took a deep dive into the realms of AI, cybersecurity, and leadership, led by top experts to address these critical areas, offering our members strategies and knowledge to navigate the complexities of the business environment.

Our quarterly Spectra, bi-monthly Spectra Update, and AGS PRO, our online learning center, offered fresh, timely content that ensures our members stay informed and ahead of industry trends throughout the year. This content has been specially curated to meet the diverse needs of our membership, spanning a broad spectrum of topics essential for today’s gem and jewelry professionals.

As we move forward, we remain dedicated to leveraging these resources to enhance our educational programs further. Our goal is to equip our members with the tools and knowledge they need to excel and lead in an ever-changing industry. One such topic we are proud of is our AGS Business Succession Series. It’s never too soon to start planning for the future of your business. To learn more about this special series, click here.

The American Gem Society has also been integral to the industry conversations around Russian Sanctions. We should all be proud of our role as a voice for our members and an active part of processes like this.

Your ongoing support and engagement are vital to our collective success, and we look forward to achieving even greater heights together.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to excellence and for being part of our vibrant community.

Warmest regards,
