With over 35 years of experience in sourcing the finest gemstones in the world from East Africa to South America and everywhere in between, B & B has developed strong alliances in mining localities across the globe, which allow him to source incredible quality at incredible value.
After completing his Graduate Gemologist program at GIA in Carlsbad in 2007, Dave joined his family business with the vision to develop new markets and channels in distributing precious gemstones. Their firm has been celebrated and recognized industry wide, with four AGTA Spectrum Cutting Edge™ awards this year alone—a tremendous honor in the world of Colored Gemstones. His work focuses on catering to the likes of royalty, celebrities, high-end jewelers, and international brands. His discerning clients come to him for the rarest colored gemstones in the world.
Dave's services include (but are not limited to) sourcing gemstones, design consultation, and forecasting color trends. Dave constantly travels overseas to mining and cutting localities to remain up to date on current market activity and keep a keen eye out for special finds. Whether he is servicing a major jewelry house or a collector, Dave regularly assists his clients in assembling collections as well as one-of-a-kind bespoke pieces. Dave also acts as a trusted consultant to several major auction houses to help evaluate material as an expert in his field. He sees his career as a privilege and his passion. He is a two-time participant of the GIA Global Leadership Program at Harvard Business school and serves as the current President of the GIA Los Angeles Alumni Chapter as well as being an active member of the American Gem Society, Jewelers Board of Trade, and International Colored Stone Association.
