The American Gem Society, Advanced Instruments Division, announces The ASET Camera, the newest development within its performance-based diamond grading support tools. The ASET Camera not only allows jewelry professionals the ability to view and showcase a diamond’s light performance, but also provides the opportunity to capture the digital ASET image for printing or future use. Never before has finished diamond evaluation been so fast, accurate, and efficient.
Some of the ASET’s highlights:
- The ASET Camera’s setting can be easily altered to allow for different lighting conditions or if working with oddly shaped mounted items. The ASET Camera also includes a lighting unit which provides a consistent viewing and photographic environment that is particularly helpful when capturing images of loose diamonds.

Controlled, Consistent Lighting – Essential for ASET CAMs located in areas where the light can fluctuate, such as location change, people moving about projecting reflections, etc.
Orientation – The spring loaded centering column centers the stone with gentle pressure. The stone can be rotated in place once centered to clock the stone or square up edges in the frame.
Auto Obscuration – When the pressure is relieved from the column, the obscuration cone remains in place giving you a crisp colorful image.
Security – One more layer of protection between you and would be criminals
